Roy Kessels

Prof. dr. Roy Kessels, klinisch neuropsycholoog, is hoogleraar neuropsychologie bij het Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour van de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen en verbonden aan de afdeling medische psychologie van het UMC St Radboud. Hij is tevens wetenschappelijk consulent bij Vincent van Gogh voor Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg in Venray.

Zijn onderzoek richt zich op het geheugen en geheugenstoornissen bij verschillende aandoeningen, zoals de ziekte van Alzheimer, CVA, HIV, het syndroom van Korsakov, andere neuropsychiatrische stoornissen en cognitieve veroudering.

Roy Kessels, PhD, is professor of neuropsychology at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour of Radboud University Nijmegen and clinical neuropsychologist at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, the Netherlands. He is also research consultant for Vincent van Gogh Institute of Psychiatry in Venray. His research focuses on memory function and its disorders in a wide range of patient groups, such as stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, HIV, Korsakoff’s syndrome and other neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as normal ageing.
